Account and accountability of 11th five year plan projects of NIPER

Thanks to Hon’ble Chairman Dr. V. M. Katoch and Hon’ble members Board of Governors for taking accounts of NIPER 11th Five year plan projects,

It is learnt that project wise and individual wise progress for all 11th Five year plan projects, scientific as well as infrastructure projects will be compiled, accounts will also be thoroughly checked. Reports will be prepared and submitted to DOP for further submission to Parliamentary standing committee for Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Planning commission and Rajya Sabha.

Academic Planning and Development Committee (APDC) started taking account of scientific progress from today. Another committee of experts will take accounts of infrastructure projects.

Midterm review committee found many lacuna in 11th Five year plan projects (appended below)

Now it is remained to be seen that what progress are made after midterm committee recommendations. “Almost no progress is made in majority of the projects” said one scientist on anonymity. Review of project objectives and money allocated shade some light on apprehension.
