Building cost of Technology development Center (formulation) escalated from 60 lakhs to 11 crore. Originally it was proposed to be a Schedule H compliance demo plant to show SME what is suppose to be done to be Schedule H compliant. At the letter stage it is converted a milking cow project and now it is being built to rent to again a specific company (RANBAXY may be).
After 11 crore it became another pigeon shelter, there is no money for furniture or equipments Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers declined to provide more funding. Even if it is furnished and equipped as planed who will use it?
NIPER still lacks a decent size lecture hall, multiple of which is immediately needed.
